Anna was born in Ephraim, Utah on 23 April 1876, to Rasmus Hansen and Ane Madsine (Jensen) Jacobsen. She was the eldest of their four children and outlived all three of her siblings.
On 25 May 1892, Annie married Louis Anderson in Manti, Utah. To them was born sixteen children, ten of which lived passed age twenty. When Louis died on 4 March 1948; Annie then married Thomas Chaloner Ward on 18 October 1948 in Beaver, Utah. They had no children together; he died on 2 January 1962.
In addition to her parents, siblings and husbands, Anna was predeceased by her children, Lucinda Sena (Christian) Christensen, Farrel Louis Anderson, Emma Anderson, Elwood L. Anderson, Amelia Anderson, Elverda (Leon) Behunion, Ruby Anderson, Clara Anderson, and twins, Nola Anderson and Nolan Anderson.
Left to cherish their mother's memory were Anna's children, Anna Devoda (Leonard) Jensen, Irene (Edward) Eliason, LeRoy (Gladys) Anderson, Milton R. (Dorthella) Anderson, Vernon H. (Lillie Marie) Anderson, and Lutella (Ausmond C.) Willden; and a host of grand and great-grandchildren.
Anna was laid to rest alongside her first husband, Louis Anderson, in the Mayfield City, Utah cemtery.
