Services Held Tues. For Lesley Butler

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the First Baptist Church for Lesley James Butler with Rev. J.E. Byers and Rev. Ernest Phillips officiating.

Mr. Butler, age 31, died early Sunday morning in a Birmingham, Alabama hospital. He had been visiting a brother in Birmingham. Les, as he was known here, was a native of Clarendon and attended the Clarendon public schools. He served with the Air Force during World War II and has been an automobile trader since that time.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Butler of Clarendon; two sisters, Mrs. J.R. Cowan of Borger, Mrs. Loren Rhoades of Amarillo; four brothers, Earl and J.W., both of Borger, Glenn of Claude and Joe Clyde Butler of Birmingham, Ala.

Pallbearers were Joe Baten, Junior Spier, Grady Tyler, Hubert Heatherly, Clyde Wilson and A.G. Karnes.

Burial was in Citizens Cemetery with the Murphy-Spicer Home in charge of arrangements.
