BORGER - J. Wilson "Bill" Butler, 85, died Thursday, June 14, 2001.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today in the First Baptist Church Chapel with the Rev. Gregg Simmons, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mr. Butler was born June 1, 1916, in Claude and had lived in Borger for 65 years. He was a retired rural mail carrier. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola Mae Butler on May 31, 1998.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, J.W. and Brenda Butler of Borger; his daughter and son-in-law, Jo and Wendyl Sanders of Borger; one brother and sister-in-law, Glen and Mae Butler; three grandchildren, Christi and Jim Abel, Connie and Frank Harris and Kelton Butler, all of Borger; and seven great-grandchildren.

Casket bearers will be Jim Abel, Frank Harris, Jamey Maxwell, Jake Topper, Trevor Topper and Jim Topper.
