Know ll men by these presence that I Jeff Butler being of sound mind and disposing memory do make and publish this my last Will and testament.
lst-I will that all of my just debts be paid.
2nd-I will and bequeath to my wife Molly Butler and my five youngest children, to wit. Willie Butler, Henry Butler [2 kids by Kate Buckley], Frank Butler, Delilah Butler and Virlie Butler [Lizzie Taylors kids] all of my property real, personal and mixed in equal shares.
I appoint WT Kelly and Joe Dufner Executors of this my last will.
My daughter Ann Greer [Martha's son] is entitled to five cows and calves and one horse out of my property which is to be turned over to her by my executors.
It is my will that no further action be taken by the court than the probating of this my will.

Note: Jeff made this will as he laying dying. Killed by John Wesley Smothers. Nothing was said in the will about the child yet to be born, evidently the Butlers didn't know.
Smothers was acquitted of the charges. [Wonder if he knew abt his g grandfather's William Smeathers murder trial acquittal in Ohio Co Ky in 1809?]
