George Henry was born to Ada Booth and William Goddard, first came to New Brunswick, Canada, and married Annie Boutot in Fredericton in 1894. They moved to New Limerick, Maine, USA, where he worked for the railroad. They moved to Grindstone, Penobscot County, Maine, between 1906 and 1907. They then moved to East Millinocket between 1913 and 1916 where he continued to work for the railroad as a section foreman. He died at the hospital in Bangor after being hit by a car in East Millinocket.
