Florence - Samuel C. Tindal, 71, of 1225 West Oakdale Rd., Florence, died Monday at McLeod Hospital after an extended illness. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Culler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Carl Harris and the Rev. Sara White officiating. Burial will be in Neeses Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be James Tindal, Paul Knotts, Clyde Tindal, Vernon Thomas Gainer Jr., George L. Bonnette and John Hutchinson. Mr. Tindal was born in Neeses, a son of the late J. Ernest and Lenna Fogle Tindal. He was a retired salesman, a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Florence and a member of the Masonic lodge. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Harriett Hutchinson of Florence; a daughter, Mrs. Jay (Lucy) Shelley of Selma, Ala.; two sisters, Mrs. Jervey (Eva) Hughes of Neeses and Mrs. George (Pearline) Priester of Orlando, Fla.; a brother, J. Everette Tindal of Columbia; a grandson and a great-granddaughter. Friends may call at the residence of Mrs. Jervey Hughes of Neeses and at the funeral home.
