Emma M. Schaefer of 511 Craig St., died today at Hallmark Nursing Home after a brief illness. Mrs. Schaefer was a life resident of Syracuse. She was an underwriter for Travelers Insurance. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church and a member of its Rosary Society. Mrs. Schaefer was the widow of Herbert Schaefer who died in 1984. Surviving are a nephew, William Ott of East Syracuse; and several cousins. Services will be 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at Gang Memorial Chapel and 9:45 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made to the Caring Coalition.
