Fairchild - Iva M. Pettis, 85, of N. Center Rd. Fairchild, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 1992 at her home.
Iva Pettis, daughter of Ernest and Elizabeth Britton Collins was born April 2, 1907 in Marshall Town, Iowa. She married Juel Pettis on Sept. 28, 1930 in the town of Fairchild. The couple lived in the town of Fairchild for 7 years before moving to Waukesha. They moved back to the town of Fairchild in 1972.
Survivors include her husband, Juel of Fairchild; one son, Juel (Joan) Pettis Jr. of Hammond; seven daughters, Marianna Mae (Robert) Chapman of Mukwonago, Ella Holberg of Waukesha, Gladys (Harry) Bowey of Eagle, Barbara (Dwight) Wright of Mukwonago, Georgia (Warren) Woolridge of Burlington, Sandy (Sidney) Station [sic] of Waukesha, Iva (Frank) Peck of Fairchild; four brothers, Bill Collins of Johnson Creek, Art Collins of Hatfield, Calvin Collins of East Troy, Ernest Collins of Dousman; four sisters, Alice Roach of Augusta, Lillian Hennekens of Troy Center, Orpha Grossman of Deerfield, Gloria Wood of Fort Atkinson; 33 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 22, 1992 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Augusta, burial in the Fairchild Cemetery.
