Mrs. Holmes was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Indiana State University and had been a Colorado Springs resident for 59 years.
She was born July 11, 1902, to Harry and Rena McClure Allen and grew up in the Hillsboro area. She was married to Lloyd V. Holmes at Terra Haute on June 18, 1926. He died in 1981.
She is survived by a daughter, Lorena H. Bymaster of Colorado Springs; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Victor A. and a sister, Helen Allen of Hillsboro.
Grsveside services are scheduled for 10 am Friday in Highland Cemetery at Williamsport with the Rev. Craig Wascovick from Hillsboro Christian Church officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shrine Crippled Children's Hospital at P.O. Box 193, Pueblo, Colo., 81002.
