Harry B. Allen 86 of Hillsboro died Monday at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville after an illness of 3 weeks. He had lived near Wallace and attended Wallace grade and high school. He also attended Wiley HS in Terre Haute. He had lived in Hillsboro the past 47 years. He was a member of the Christian Church.
A native of Parke County, Mr. Allen was born February 7, 1880 a son of Thomas J. & Catherine Myers Allen. He was married to Rena McClure in Waynetown Dec 24, 1889. Surviving include the widow; two daughters, Miss Helen Allen of Hillsboro and Mrs. Eulalia Holmes of Colorado Springs CO; a brother William E. of Hillsboro; 2 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Crumley-William Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Marshall officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday .
