Carolyn May Braziel, 65, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 27, 2010, with her beloved husband of nearly 49 years by her side. Carolyn was born Jan. 28, 1945, in Nogal, where she lived until she met Bob. They married June 18, 1961, and lived a full and happy life together.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Bob Braziel; her children Carol Horton and Daniel Rodriguez, of Rio Rancho, Robert Braziel and Joy Tartaglia, of Rio Rancho, and her beloved granddaughter Brianna Braziel, of Rio Rancho, and Tonya Lamb and her daughter Amanda Funk, of Alamogordo; her brothers Edward and Leon May, of Alamogordo, and Donny May, of Artesia; and her sister Julie Adale Brubaker, of Alamogordo.
She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Anna Lee (Green) May.
She will be loved and missed forever by all of her family and friends.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at the Alamogordo Funeral Home chapel, 2301 First St., Alamogordo, with Ron Tyson officiating.
Interment will follow at the La Luz Community Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Robert Braziel Jr., Jerry Carter, Daniel Rodriguez, Tom Blankenship, Carl Braziel and John Braziel.
Honorary pallbearers include Doug Jensen, Melton May, Jimmy Douglas and Donald Holland.
