One of the pioneers who migrated from Connecticut to Norwich, Chenango County, New York to Norwich Township, McKean County, Pennsylvania, arriving there with other families from Chenango County in 1815. After his wife Betsey died in 1851, Timothy joined his daughters Emily Stickles and Mary Langworthy in the Seventh Day Baptist community in Berlin, Wisconsin. There he married Martha Mills Langworthy, mother of his son-in-law Peletiah Langworthy. Only the top of his tombstone survives, reading "___thy Abbey," next to Martha Langworthy Abbey.
