MaryJane "Jane" Coppedge Harrison was born in 1840 to parents George Helm Coppedge and Margaret Kitchen Thornton Coppedge. Jane married John Milton "Milt" Harrison on Feb 4, 1858 in Phelps County, Missouri. They raised their family on Highgate Apple Farm. Jane's husband John M "Milt" Harrison was a Union soldier in the Civil War. They were the parents of numerous sons and daughters. Following her husband's death, the widow Mary Jane Harrison received a Widow's Pension based on John's military service in the Civil War. Mary Jane died at the age of 82, in 1923, as a resident patient of the Soldiers Home of St James, Missouri. Cause of death on her death certificate is listed as "Chronic Interstitial Nephritis". She is buried at Dillon Cemetery, St James, Missouri.
