December 20, 1901. He attended school in Tullahassee, Oklahoma. He confessed a hope in Jesus Christ at an early age.
George Flemmons was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Smith and to this union twelve children were born. His wife preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were six children. Esther Green, Booker T., James and G. W. Flemmons. He later married Ada B. Bess and to this union one child was born. Ada also preceded him in death.
After a very short illness, George was called home to be with the Lord on December 23, 1993.
George Flemmons served his fellow man well during his lifetime. He had many friends and showed concern for all. He was noted for having the most beautiful yard and garden of which he shared with all. He loved the outdoors, gardening and yard work.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories: Georgia Mae Gasque, Baltimore, Maryland; Ida B. Jones, Gibson Station; Carrie Grayson, Tulsa, Oklahoma; Liberia Miller, Minneapolis, Minnesota; Berthetta Ridge, Richmond, California; Richard Flemmons, Minneapolis, Minnesota; Dorothy Flemmons, Tullahassee, Oklahoma; one son-in-law, David L. Miller, one daughter-in-law, Nancy L. Flemmons; 50 grandchildren; 108 great grandchildren, 20 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces nd nephews; one sister-in-law, Bertha Harlin, Chicago, Illinois, and ahost of other relatives and friends.
George died at the age of 92 from respiratory adn cardiac arrest and lung cancer. His funeral was held December 30, 1993 - 1:00 PM, First Baptist Church, Tullahassee and he is buried at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
