Funeral services for Miss Evelyn E. Baass, Route 1, Box 190, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the McCabe-Carruth Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Casimir Jarzombek officiating.
Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum. Miss Baass died Tuesday in a local hospital.
She was born Dec. 25, 1899 in Lavaca County to John and Frances Hanak Baass.
Miss Baass was a retired nurse; a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the church's Altar Society; a member of the Texas State Graduate Nurse Association, District 20; and a member of the Council of Catholic Nurses, District 2.
Surviving are two sisters, Miss Frances Baass of Victoria and Sister Frances Baass of the Incarnate Word & Blessed Sacrament in Victoria; and a brother, Herman of Victoria.
Pallbearers will be Ruben Schultz, Eugene Srubar, Les Hotz, Clarence Atzenhoffer Sr., Henry Kasper, Allen Baass and Leonard Marbach.
