Idaho Miner Dies in Castle Dale Mishap

Castle Dale, Utah, March 8 (AP) -- Burke Frandsen, 45, of Kimball, Ida., was killed today when a runaway tram raced down an incline in the Huntington canyon coop mine, Sheriff Bryant Nelson reported today.

Frandsen's son, Melvin, and two other men were injured.

Nelson said the car's brakes failed and it sped approximately 175 feet in 10 seconds. The men were injured when the car struck the bottom of the pit.
