Born in Van Wert County, Ohio, Mr. Hart came to the East Jordan area as a young man. On August 12, 1926, he was married to the former Beatrice Scheaffer. They always resided on a farm in Jordan Township. In addition to being a farmer, Mr. Hart was also a well driller.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Delbert, East Jordan, and Arnold and Earl, Saginaw; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Theda) Lundy and Mrs. Barbara Gault, both of East Jordan; 23 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, John and Delmar, East Jordan, and Ervin, Rapid City; and four sisters, Mrs. John Allen, Traverse City, Mrs. Lucy Warren, East Jordan, Mrs. Edith Czykoski, Elmira, and Mrs. Percy Atkinson, Rapid City.
