ELKHART -- Susannah F. Colagrossi, 98, of Elkhart, passed away at 11:10 a.m. Monday (May 31, 2010) at Eastlake Nursing and Rehab. She was born July 7, 1911, in LaGrange County to the late Simon and Fannie (Yoder) Frey. She married Anthony Colagrossi in Elkhart in 1951. He passed away in 1966.
She is survived by daughter Phyllis Yaap of Goshen, four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother Vernon (Bernadine) Frey of Goshen; and sister Darlene (Titus) Martin of Goshen.
She was preceded in death by sister Mayme Bontrager; brothers Harley, Ervin, Edward and Owen; and two grandchildren.
She retired from Johnson Controls in 1988 in Goshen after working there for 11 years. She was a member of the Moose in Elkhart and VFW Auxiliary in Elkhart. She enjoyed bingo and going to the flea market.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Waterman-Westbrook-Clouse Funeral Home. A service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prairie Street Cemetery.
