Russell Eugene Neal died on Monday, May 31, 2010 at the Lancaster General Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born on August 4, 1940 in Philadelphia, PA. He spent his formative years with Mrs. Georganna Barlow and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Pearl Neal. He was educated in the Philadelphia School System. Russell had a twenty-six year career as Sr. Vice President with Service Master Inc.
He leaves a legacy of love and devotion to his wife of 50 years, Pamela Neal; son, Vaughn Neal; daughter, Sophia Neal and grandson, Cameron Neal. Also left to mourn his passing are his sisters, Carole Johnson and Joan Thomas Harvey, sisters-in-law, Pauline Rogers, Savine Dunlap, Maida Carter and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Russell's Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bright Side Baptist Church, 515 Hershey Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17603 with Rev. Louis A. Butcher, Jr. officiating. Family will greet friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will take place Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002 The Groffs Family Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc.
