Mary was born in Blaina, Monmouthshire, Wales to Benjamin Jones and Mary Ann Vaughan. She married Daniel O Gulley on February 19, 1859 at St. Michael's Church in the parish of Aberystruth. Together they had 14 children, with 8 living to adulthood. Mary immigrated to Ohio in 1870 with the 5 oldest children to meet Daniel, who was living in Pomeroy, Meigs County. She passed away at 71 years of age with liver problems.
