John William Helms was the second son of Charles Ingram and Elizabeth "Eliza" J. Helms. I have left his birth day and year on the above FindAGrave search field for birth day and year to be the same as the date on his tombstone.

There was apparently a mistake or error on his tombstone regarding the day and year for his birth date, which does not match Bible or census records. His older brother James Allen Helms was born on 9 April 1841 and John William Helms was born 22 June 1842 and his sister Mary Ann Elizabeth Helms was born 9 April 1843, thus giving an actual date range for his year of birth. However, the 1900 Coffee Co., AL census says he was born in June 1844 and his wife was born in Nov. 1844. Inaccuracies in multiple places.

The 1850 Census of Coffee County, AL shows Charles & Eliza with 7 children, occupation "Farmer." [Note: the ages of the children vary due to the date that the census was enumerated]
