OBIT: Death of Dulaney Rasin. Mr. Dulaney Rasin, one of the oldest citizens of Worton district, died at the residence of his son-in-law, Mr. Samuel F. Cooper, near Worton Station, on Tuesday last. He was in his 75th year. Mr. Rasin was one of the best known men in his district. He was for several years a constable and in 1883 was a candidate for sheriff on the Democratic ticket. He was generous to a fault and had many warm friends all over the county. Kent News Jan. 25, 1890.

OBIT: same issue Jan. 25, 1890 Died Near Worton Station, January 21, of pneumonia, Dulaney Rasin, aged 74 years.

OBIT: Dulaney Rasin departed this life Jan. 21, 1890, being his seventy-fourth birthday. The subject of these few lines was a kind husband. He and his companion had journeyed together forty-five years the 6th instant. He was an affectionate father and a much loved grandfather. Good neighbor, none were turned from his door whom he could help as far as his means permitted. he was ever cheerful and would entertain young people with incidents of by-gone days much to their enjoyment. We have been acquainted with him many years and always looked upon him as an inoffensive man forgiving in disposition with a desire to be at peace with all men. We visited him several times during his illness and he expressed himself entirely submissive to the will of his Heavenly Father, saying he was all right and not afraid of death. We have no doubt his family's loss is his eternal gain. A Friend. same issue Jan. 25, 1890 Kent News.
