The will of Jabez Dake of the town of Nunda in the county of Alleghany, dated 4 May 1846, names wife Sophia (executor), and children Lovisa, Lydia, David M., Chancy M., William H. H., Ann Eliza, and Jabez P. (Son Abram was already deceased by then.)

A newspaper notice concerning the settlement of the estate of Jabez Dake, late of Nunda, NY, is addressed to: "James McClellan [McLellan] and Louisa [Lovisa] his wife, of Hastings, Barry county, Michigan; Lyman Happins [Hoppins] and Lydia his wife, David M. Dake and William H.H. Dake, all of Nunda, in the county of Livingston and state of New York, Chauncey M. Dake, and James D. Crank and Ann Eliza his wife, and Daniel C. Nichols, special guardian of Jabez P. Dake, all of Geneseo in the county of Livingston, heirs of Jabez Dake, late of said town on Nunda, deceased."
