Howard E. Finch
Cowpens-Howard Edward Finch, 66, of Cowpens died at Spartanburg General Hospital Monday at 3:40 p.m. after being struck by a car near his home at 2:15 p.m.
Mr. Finch was a lifelong resident of Spartanburg County and was a retired employe of Pequot Mills. He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Robert Edward and Lizzie Hendly Finch.
Surviving are: his wife, Mrs. Annie Mae Fortune Finch of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Crocker of Spartanburg, Mrs. Joyce Powell of Gaffney and Mrs. Hazel Patton of Enterprise, Ala.; six sons, Ronald Dean of the home, Carroll of Clifton, Jerry Eugene, John Edward, Cecil Norman and Bobby Joe Finch all of Columbia. One brother, Roy Finch of Spartanburg Rt. 2; 11 grandchildren. The J.F. Floyd Mortuary is in charge.
