A. B. Finch, 17-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Finch of near Arkwright, was killed yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock in Marion county when a truck he was driving overturned. The youth left Spartanburg Sunday, going to Marion county for a contracting firm in Spartanburg. Details as to how he met his death were meager. A telephone message from Mullins indicated that young Finch had obtained a job on the Marion-Mullins paving contract yesterday and came to his tragic end only a few hours later. Surviving the young man are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Finch of near Arkwright; three brothers, Howard Finch, Roy Finch and Hugh Finch, all of Spartanburg, and one sister, Mrs. S. H. Slaughter of Birmingham, Alabama.
