Ernest "Lokie" Johnson was the son of Charlie [Horne] and Elizabeth Joyce Johnson.

Story: When "Loke" was an infant he became very ill. His mother took him by train from Denton, Ga to Atlanta, Ga., where he was treated by a Dr Lokie. She added "Lokie" as his middle name after that Doctor because she thought he had saved her sons life.

Loke died at age 26 and was never married. He and Eva Lou Walker [Bookhardt] were engaged and both became ill with pneumonia. He passed away and she was not told of his death until after she recovered.

The fringed satin pillow cover was sent by Loke to his mother while he served in the United States Coast Guard.
