Little Joseph's death certificate states he was born September 4, 1924 and died at 1 year, 9 months, and 2 days old. Since his calculated lifespan matches 09/4/1924 instead of what is on his stone, I'm going with what is on his vital record. This is why his marker and this Memorial don't match for the YOB.

The COD on the certificate states he died from Ileo colitis, now referred to as Ileocolitis. This is now considered the most common type of Crohn's disease. It causes inflammation in the small intestine (ileum) and the large intestine (colon). If this is what he had, this baby suffered as there wasn't medication back them to treat this condition.

He lived at Atlanta RFD #131.
