Virginia loved people and to visit with anyone, even if she'd just met them. During WWII she volunteered in the motor corps to drive troops around Portland, OR when they came in on ships and wanted to go someplace. She was a Unit Director for Sarah Coventry Jewelry, an in-home party plan. She loved to travel and went around the world by herself in 1969. She visited her husband Irv in Thailand while he was on R&R from Viet Nam where he worked for Alaska Barge and Transport, and Morris and Knudsen. She and Irv traveled to to Egypt, Korea, and many other places to visit family. Irving and Virginian celebrated their 70th anniversary in Nov. of 2005. She lived to see that day, always talking about it, and when it would be.
