Visitation: The family will greet friends from 5-7 P.M., , Friday, December 04, 2009 at the funeral home.
Funeral Service: 10:30 A.M., Saturday, December 05, 2009 at the funeral home.
Interment: Immediately following the funeral service on Saturday, December 05, 2009 at Newton Union Cemetery.
Those left to honor Norma's memory are her 2 daughters, Judy (Dan) Heaberlin of Newton and Joyce (Mike) Barrett of Ankeny; 3 grandchildren, Shawn (Tracy) Heaberlin, Chris Heaberlin, and Michelle McCall; his 1 great-grandchildren, Morgan Heaberlin; and sister, Edith Parmley of Grinnell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Minnie (Markmann) Schumann; husband, Loren in 2000; her daughter, Joanne Baldwin-Fuchs; grandson-in-law, Ben McCall in 2009; and her twin sister, Nora Druyff in 2009.
Norma attended Sherman #5 Country School and was a graduate of Newton High School in 1942. Norma was a homemaker and had been a nurse's aide at Skiff Medical Center in the nursery for many years.
She was a member of the Ikettes, HM Club, and the Red Hat Ladies at Newton Village. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, being outdoors in nature, and liked all animals, but especially loved her puppies.
Memorials to Hospice of Jasper County may be left at the funeral home.
