Alonzo Edward Schoenfeld, 54, World War I veteran, died Monday at 8:55 p.m. in a Salt Lake hospital after a prolonged illness.
A son of Albert D. and Florence Pardoe Schoenfeld, he was born Dec. 26, 1896 in Salt Lake City.
Mr. Schoenfeld was a cook by trade. He married Edith Fowler in Pueblo, Colo., in 1937.
Surviving are his widow and his father, both of Salt Lake City; a daughter by a former marriage, Mrs. Lorraine Baldwin, Clarksville, Tenn.; two brothers, James T. and Victor P. Schoenfeld, and a sister, Mrs. LaDene Gould, all of Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at 36 E. 7th South by Preston Heiner, bishop, First Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints.
Friends may call at place of services Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday prior to services. Burial will be in Salt Lake City Cemetery.
