SAMUEL F. KERR
That there is nothing more certain than death, and nothing more uncertain than the time of our dying was seen sudden taking away of our esteemed fellow citizen, Mr. Samuel F. Kerr. Monday and Tuesday of last week he was in usual health,--was taken sick on Wednesday—and died in the afternoon of Sunday.
The deceased was a native of Kentucky; moved to Illinois when quite (young). He was a soldier during the civil war, serving in the 94th Ill. Infantry.
He had lived in this community for fourteen years: was an official member of the Methodist church, and lived well his profession. Funeral services were conducted by his pastor, E. E. Brown, in the White City cemetery. His wife and two children survive him and have for their comfort the memory of a kind husband and father.
