Acie "Foo-Pu" Dye,
age 73 of Flemingsburg, KY., formerly of McDowell, KY., husband of Mary Jo Dye, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, KY. He was born April 25, 1936 in McDowell, KY., a son of the late Bert and Raddie Gayheart Dye. He was a retired carpenter and attended the Old Regular Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons; Acie Dwaine (Melinda) Dye, McDowell, KY., Gary (Mary) Hawk, Carlisle, KY., Tommy Dye (Dawnetta) Lawson, Somerset, KY and Anthony Louis (Danielle) Dye, Flemingsburg, KY., a daughter; Vickie (Enon) Caudill, Flemingsburg, KY., two brothers; Chuck Dye, McDowell, KY and Sam Dye, West Milton, OH., one sister; Betty Falany, McDowell, KY., and 17 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Carl and Kenny Dye and three sisters; Bessie Bryant, Maxine Howell and Effie Sword.

Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, with the Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Dye Family Cemetery, McDowell, KY., visitation is after 5:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, under the kind and professional care of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.

Acie Dye, Husband of Mary Dye,
Acie loved music Paradise was a favorite song of his, he played guitar,banjo and fiddle, well he could play just about anything you put in front of him. He had 4 sons Acie Dwaine Dye, Gary Hawk Jr., Anthony Louis Dye, and Tommy Lawson. One daughter Vickie Dye Caudill. and many grandchildren that love him so.
