Farmer and rancher LACROSSE - Earl Trammell Chesser of LaCrosse died Saturday after a tractor accident. He was 76. Mr. Chesser was born in Gainesville and was a lifelong area resident. A farmer and rancher, he also was a retired steam plant operator for the State of Florida. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Chesser of LaCrosse; two daughters, Janice Baxley of Huntsville, Texas, and JoAnn Starke of Gainesville; six sons, Earlton Ray Chesser of Huntsville, Danny Chesser of Springfield, Ga., and Dewey C. Bush, Charles Gene Bush, Curtis L. Bush and Gerald Bush, all of Gainesville; three brothers, Ernest Chesser of Gainesville, Gwyn Chesser of Orlando and Royce Chesser of Springfield; three sisters, Clara Breeden, Retha Gann and Reba Rogers, all of Gainesville; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
