GANN, RETHA F.

Retha Faye Chesser Gann, age 88, went to be with her Lord & Savior on July 24, 2009, where she joined her daughter, Judy.

She was born December 30, 1920 in Alachua County. She was married to Clifford Gann for 71 years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Gann is a member of Northwest Baptist Church and loved singing in the choir and serving her Lord. She retired from Clay Electric and worked numerous years at Sperry & Matthews Plumbing.

Mrs. Gann was preceeded in death by her daughter, Judy Stephens.

In addition to her husband, Clifford, she is survived by a twin sister, Reba Rogers, a brother, Royce Chesser, two grandchildren, Steve and Scott Stephens, one great-granddaughter, Sarah Stephens, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 26, from 2:30 - 4:30 P.M. at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23rd Avenue. Funeral services will be Monday, July 27 at 11:00 A.M. at Northwest Baptist Church, 5514 NW 23rd Avenue, Gainesville. Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. at Antioch Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Haven Hospice.
