Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Severy United Methodist Church. The Rev. Alan Hunter will officiate. Burial will be in South Lawn Cemetery in Severy.

Myers was born June 24, 1918, at Americus, to Rachel (Albin) and Charles Album Myers. He lived part of his childhood in Oklahoma. In 1935 he returned to Kansas and farmed east of Severy for his aunt, Myrtle Stewart.
On Dec. 22, 1945, he married Dorothy Evelyn Sims in Howard. They farmed east of Severy until moving to town in 1949. Myers operated a trucking business from 1949 until he began working for the Severy Co-op in 1957. In 1968 he went to work at Beech Aircraft Co. in Wichita and continued there until he retired in 1982. They had lived on their farm east of Severy since 1976.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Myers, Severy; a son, Gaylen Myers, Atlanta; a daughter, Marcia, Sedgwick; four sisters, Ellen Woods. Paola, Agnes Hedrick and Mae Stanbarger, both of Holton, and Clara Zirger, Onaga; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous stepgrandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
