James Oscar Loudermilk 71, passed away Friday morning at the home of his son John Loudermilk, 302 North Section Street. Sullivan. A complication of diseases brought about his death. He had been employed in the mines of Sullivan County for more than fifty years.

Preceding him in death was his father, Joseph D. Loudermilk, his mother Persis Boone Loudermilk, his first wife Tacie Brodie Loudermilk.
He is survived by the wife Eunice, two children, John Loudermilk of this city, and Mrs Fred Rapson of Terre Haute, a stepson Thomas Rooksberry. two brothers, William Logan Loudermilk, of Arkansas, and Josiah S. Loudermilk, of Sullivan, a sister, Leah Belle Whitman. of Sullivan
The body was prepared for burial at the Railsback Funeral Home and was taken to the residence of the son at four p.m.
Funeral services will be held at two p.m. Sunday afternoon at the Railsback Funeral Home. With the Rev. J.M. Smith officiating. Burial will be made at Center Ridge Cemetery.

The song services were rendered by Floella Smith, Ray Hayden, Lowel Holycross and Maxine Holycross accompanied at the piano by Mrs. J. M. Smith.

Pallbearers were Jasper Ridge, Fred Foxworthy, Bert Hawkins and Thomas
Rooksberry

The many floral pieces were carried by Mary Jean Boles, Margaret Badger, Mary Usrey, Mary Scully, Lorain Loudermilk, Marjorie Loudermilk, Elizabeth McCammon, Jacklyn Rooksberry, Frances South and Lillis Flynn.

Interment was made in Center Ridge Cemetery .
