OLD VETERAN DROPS DEAD
Ewing Wright Expired at Noon Today of Heart Trouble
Stricken with heart failure, Ewing Wright, a well known citizen and Civil War veteran, dropped dead in Dr. Louder's office at 11:30 today. Death came with the suddenness of a thunderbolt from a clear sky as Mr. Wright has been in fairly good health. Feeling ill while up town this morning, he stepped into Dr. Louder's office on South College Avenue. It was while awaiting his turn in the outer office that he dropped dead in his chair, his head falling forward as though in sleep.
Mr. Wright was 67 years old and a lifelong resident of the county, spending his early years near Ketcham. For the past ten years he has resided in Bloomington on South Jackson Street. His wife and two children, Newton Wright, the carpenter and Mrs. Lillie White of Nashville, Tenn., mourn his sudden departure. He leaves three brothers, Levi, David and Alfred Wright, all residents of the south part of the county, and two sisters, Mrs. Jane Fairham of Bedford and Mrs. Claude Eastham of Terre Haute.
He was a member of the Christian Church, a Mason and a member of the G. A. R. The funeral will likely be held Monday.
