CRESSMAN, Leonard Passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Grand River Hospital, Freeport Health Centre, Kitchener. Leonard resided in Baden and was born 81 years ago in Wilmot Township. He was the son of the late Edmund and May (Hunsberger) Cressman. Beloved husband of Elaine (Gingerich) Cressman. Dear father of Karen and Craig Cressman Anderson of Kitchener, Kim Cressman and Phil Mackey of Australia, Wendy and Don Cressman Zehr of New Hamburg, Judy and Mike Miller of Calgary, Greg and Glenice Brennan of Baden. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Zac, Joshua, Tess, Michaela, Brandon and Angie, Tyler, Chelsea and Ryan. Also remembered by his sisters and brother Gladys Cressman, Pearl Yantzi, Orval and Jeannette Cressman all of New Hamburg, Verna Gingerich of Kitchener and the Steinmann and Gingerich families. Leonard was predeceased by his 1st wife Rita (Steinmann) Cressman in 1973, son Shawn Brennan, granddaughter Amy, sister Mildred and husband John Nafziger, also a sister in infancy, brothers-in-law Howard Cressman, Lloyd Yantzi and Edgar Gingerich. Leonard was a member of Nith Valley Mennonite Church and was also actively involved with the Seniors' Woodworking Centre in Baden. Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home , 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Sunday, May 30, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The interment will take place on Monday, May 31, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Nith Valley Mennonite Cemetery. A service to celebrate Leonard's life will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Nith Valley Mennonite Church with Pastors Matthew and Hendrike Isert Bender officiating. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee or Freeport Health Centre Palliative Care Unit.
