Her parents were Samuel Russell and Sophia Company. She and her husband and five children came to American on board the ship, Horizon, in 1856. When they got to Boston they were so sick they could not continue on. Three of the children died. She and her husband, Ebenezer, and two children came as a pioneer to Utah in the Ebenezer R. Young wagon company in 1859. They had 12 children and buried nine of them.
