ARKOMA — Isac F. "Shorty" Attaberry, 66, of Arkoma died Monday, Dec. 24, 2001, in Arkoma. He was born June 20, 1935, and was a retired farmer. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. today at McVay Cemetery in Carbon City under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith. He is survived by his wife, Joerene; a son, Joe Parson of Fort Smith; five sisters, Ruthie Feeney of Booneville, Sadie Scrivner and Dorothy Simpson, both of Kansas City, Kan., Bobbie Freito of Colorado and Coreen Gump of Fort Smith; three brothers, George B. Attaberry of Fort Smith, Billy Joe Attaberry of Coleena, Kan., and Russell Attaberry of Stilwell, Okla.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Kevin and Norman Flurry, Jessie Henry, Johnny Woods, Bruce Button and Wayne Allen. Times Record Online
