He was united in marriage to Miss Hannah Mayberry before coming to the United States. On coming to this country he settled in Dodge county, moving from there to Wayne county. Seven years ago he moved to Thurston where he lived until the final summons came. Thirteen children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Blair, five of whom passed on to the other land. Besides the wife, eight children survive the deceased, viz: Thomas Blair, of Cottonwood, S.D., Mrs. C. N. Anderson, of Norfolk, Mrs. Emil Anderson, and Robert Blair of Hoskins, Mrs. Raleigh Folkers, of Osmond, John and Elsie Blair, of Thurston, and Jas. Blair, Jr., of Pierce.
Wed to Hannah Mayberry of County Derry, Ireland in Ireland. Mr. Blair leaves to mourn him his wife and eight children, Thomas, James, John, Robert, Jane, Maggie, Alma, and Elsie. These all, with the exception of the youngest, are married and have homes of their own. Five children had preceded him to the spirit world.
