These dates are per the death certificate, but the stone says 1842-1917. This is from her great-granddaughter.

Bridget Dougherty Patton was born in Brandywine, Newcastle County, Delaware Feb. 8, 1841 and died on Jan. 25, 1917, in Beatrice, NE. at the home of her daughter Mrs. Chas. Allen. She was aged seventy-five years, eleven months and seventeen days. Death was caused by diabetes which she had suffered for many months.

The deceased was married to Samuel Patton at Kelleyville, Delaware County, PA. in 1860. The couple came to Nebraska in 1879, taking up a homestead twelve miles southwest of Sutton, where the lived for sometime, afterwards moving to Edgar where they resided for many years and where Mr. Patton died in 1910.

The deceased leaves to morn her loss six children, four sons and two daughters. They are Mrs. C. F. Allen(Margaret) of Beatrice, Dan Patton of Wymore, Will Patton of Fairmont,
Walter Patton of Wymore, Thomas Patton of Fairmont and Mrs. Paul Lewke (Bertha) of Atchison, Kansas and several brothers and sisters.

The remains were taken to Sutton Sat. morning where interment was made.
