Mrs. Rachel Rash, wife of Lewis Rash, residing five miles southwest of Union, died on Monday in her 58th year. She was a mother of twelve children, nine of whom, six sons and three daughters, together with her husband, survived her. Mr. and Mrs. Rash were among the earliest pioneers, having lived in this neighborhood more than thirty-eight years, and are widely known and esteemed. The surviving relatives have the warmest sympathy of the community. The funeral was held at the Miller school house on Tuesday, and internment in the Miller Cemetery.
