JAMES BURT
James W Burt, Oklahoma City, a former resident of Duncan, died Monday in his home after a sudden illness. He was 73.
Service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Morehead Funeral Home chapel, Comanche, with the Rev Timothy Ball, pastor of the Meridian First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Duncan Cemetery.
Burt was born Nov 15, 1908 in Franklin County, Tenn. He was a retired dispatcher for the Oklahoma City Bus Company and was a member of the Duncan IOOF Lodge and the Gideon Bible Baptist Association.
Survivors include two sons, Charles M, Comanche and Arthur Keith, Midwest City; one sister, Ola Cravens, Granite and two grandsons.
Bearers will be Cliff Mead, B B Coffman, Ed Hill, Perry Cravens, Rick Mitchum and J B Brooks.
