Fannie F. Sansoucie, of Cadet, Mo., passed away Thursday, March 9, 2000 in the Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Crystal City, Mo. at the age of 81 years and 23 days. She was born February 14, 1919 at Cadet to the late Christopher Abraham and Florence Louise (Pickett) Emily.

Fannie was a life-long resident of Washington County and was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Tiff, Mo. She was united in marriage to Raymond Joseph Sansoucie in 1937 at Cadet, and five children were born to this union. Her husband preceded her in death on January 18, 1946. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Raymond Joseph Sansoucie and Chris Patrick Sansoucie; three brothers, George, Raymond and John Emily; four sisters, Myrtle Herman, Rosie Bequette, Mandy Eckhoff and Ellen Eckhoff; also one half sister, Harriett Bequette.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are one son, Edward Sansoucie and wife Judy of Cadet; two daughters, Thelma Govero and husband Richard of Tiff and Mary Mercer of Cadet; four brothers, Abraham Emily of Cuba, Henry Emily of Antonio, Roscoe Emily of Independence and Joseph Emily of Potosi; one sister, Dolly Skaggs of Bonne Terre; 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter; nieces, nephews and other relaitves and friends.

Funeral mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2000 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiff, with Father Ted Pieper officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Scott Tucker, Rick Govero, Mark Govero, Wendell (Boo) Emily, Kenny Eckhoff and Michael Sansoucie.

Interment was in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Tiff, under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
