Funeral services were conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. for Mrs. Julia Ann Adkins, 84, resident of Van Lear, who died in St. Mary's Hospital, Huntington, W.Va., at 3:40 a.m., Friday, February 2, after a year's illness.

The daughter of the late Winfield and Vinetta Johnson Dollarhide, she was born June 6, 1878, at Thelma and had lived at Van Lear for thirteen years.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs.Rose Ella Caundill, Van Lear; Mrs.Nola Brennan, Huntington, W. Va.; Mrs.Reba Murry, Japan.

Services were conducted at the chapel of the Preston Funeral Edgar Hewlett as officiating minister.
Burial was in the Wells Cemetery in this city.
