CALICO ROCK --- Flora Irene Clark Langston died Monday (March 3, 1997) at Calico Rock Medical Center. She was 93.
Mrs. Langston was born Sept. 23, 1903, at Spring Creek to William and Elvie Hively Clark. She married James Herbert Langston on July 20, 1924, in Calico Rock. She was a homemaker and a cook at the Calico Rock School. Her family will remember that the school children loved her. She had been a member of the Spring Creek United Methodist Church since 1916.
She is survived by two daughters, Wilma Taylor and Ruby Wray, both of Calico Rock; five grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a great-great grandson; a step-granddaughter; and step-great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, a grandson and a great-granddaughter.
Services will be at 2 pm today at the Spring Creek United Methodist Church in Calico Rock. Interment will be in Spring Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Wray, Kevin Wray, Gary Langston, Mike Dillard, Shannon Shrake, and Jeremy Wray. Honorary pallbearers will be John Shrake, Bill Porterfield, and Travis Porterfield.
