Ruby Nell Langston Wray, daughter of the late Herbert J. Langston and Flora I. Clark Langston, was born November 15, 1933 in Calico Rock, Arkansas. She departed this life April 14, 2017 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 83 years, 4 months and 30 days. She was united in marriage to Erman Wray October 15, 1953 in Calico Rock, together they raised two sons. Ruby will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. Ruby retired from Baxter Lab after 30 years of employment. She was of the Methodist faith and a member of Spring Creek Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law: James and Cathy Wray of Calico Rock and Kevin and Marcel Wray of Bakersfield, Missouri; six grandchildren: Jessica Teague and husband Justin of Calico Rock, Dusty Wray and wife Randi of Wasilla, Alaska, Jeremy Wray of Arkansas, Shelten Wray, Makayla Durham and Dustin Durham all of Bakersfield, Missouri; 11 great grandchildren: Arysta Teague, Brettley Teague, Austin Durham, Natalie Durham, Logan Norton, Jayden Norton, Charlotte Wray, Tinley Durham, Easton Durham, Cason Durham and Paisley Wray; three sisters-in-law: Janet Sandusky of Dexter, Missouri, Joyce Hensley of Bexar and Novelle Wray of Salem and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers: Sidney Langston, Jack Langston; one sister: Wilma Taylor and one great grandson: Jayden Wray.
Visitation will be Monday, April 17 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Funeral service will be Tuesday, April 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Spring Creek Methodist Church in Calico Rock with Blake Schretfer and Paul Seay officiating. Burial will be at Spring Creek Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
