Mary Nell Newman Turner, 91, of Newnan died on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Heard County, GA on April 17, 1919 to the late Roger Newman & Lucy Pearl Smith Newman. She was a dedicated lifelong member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husband, William Henry Turner; son, Gerald Turner; sisters, Hazel Marchman, Nina Folds, Jewel Huffman; and brothers, Carl Newman, Walter Newman, Clyde Marchman. The funeral service is Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of McKoon Funeral Home, Rev. Danny Spencer officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The visitation is Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St., Newnan, GA.
