Born in Bogata, son of Lemuel T. and Sarah McCary Dunn. He married Edith Kizer in Hugo, OK. He was self-employed in the carpet and floor covering business retiring in 1973 after 30 years work. He was an active member of Springlake Baptist Church and was Adult Men Sunday School teacher. He served in the US Army during WW II.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Jack Dunn of Paris; 3 daughters, Mrs. Harold 'Bobbie' Kirtley, Mrs. Larry 'Sarah' Hutchings and Mrs. Charles 'Patsy' Rhodes, all of Paris; a brother, Marvin Dunn of Dallas; 3 sisters, Lula Sears of Iowa Park, TX.; Mrs. Harmon 'Lydia' Betterton of Deport and Mrs. C.J. 'Mattie Lou' Aduxs of Midland; 11 grandchildren.'
